Continuing Education

Obtaining & Maintaining your license:

In an effort to enhance professional standards and consumer confidence, the Real Estate Council of Ontario (RECO) has approved the Mandatory Continuing Education program requiring all RECO members to complete 24 credit hours of real estate education during each two-year registration cycle.

For registration renewals on or after January 1, 2001, all members must submit a "Declaration of Continuing Education" as part of their renewal application.

Proof of completion of the RECO Real Estate Update or completion of the
RECO Real Estate Update – Commercial must be attached. In addition, members are required to retain proof of registration/enrollment, for a period of four years, for each course/seminar attended.

For more information, BREB encourages members to refer to the Mandatory Continuing Education Policy available on RECO's website www.reco.on.ca or by contacting RECO at
