CHALLENGE MECHANISM
NON-MEMBERS/PUBLIC
If
Non-Members or a member of the Public believes any Personal Information
concerning that person is not correct, that person may request an amendment of
that information by sending a request to the Executive Director. BREB reserves the right not to change any
Personal Information but will append any alternative text the employee
concerned believes appropriate. The
Non-Member or member of the Public may also request that BREB delete their
Personal Information from the Board’s system and records, except if such
Personal Information is required to fulfill the Board’s mandate or to meet
legislative requirements. However, due
to technical constraints and the fact that BREB backs up its systems, Personal
Information may continue to reside in the Board’s systems after deletion. Non-Members and members of the Public,
therefore, should not expect their Personal Information would be completely
removed from BREB systems in response to a request for deletion.
